You’ll Never Guess The Origin Of Some Of The Most Common Used Inventions
UK, Belgium, Switzerland – World Wide Web
Sir Tim Berners-Lee, a British computer scientist at CERN, Switzerland, observed the difficulties of getting access to information stored in different computers. He envisioned a way for millions of computers to be connected and share information utilizing hypertext technology. Tim and his Belgian partner, Robert Cailliau, submitted their research titled “Information Management: A Proposal” to CERN management, but it did not get accepted. Still, his boss Mike Sendall encouraged the brilliant scientist to make it an unofficial project.
By 1989, Lee had fully developed the World Wide Web, which began to get regularly used from 1993. The worldwide web is indeed the greatest modern-day invention that almost didn’t happen.
