You’ll Never Guess The Origin Of Some Of The Most Common Used Inventions

Finland – Molotov Cocktails

When you come across the name Molotov cocktail, please don’t get your taste buds up thinking that we are discussing some fancy drink. The term refers to a bottle-based combat gadget, also referred to as a poor man’s explosive. The Soviet Union learned this lesson the hard way when they attacked Finland during the Winter War.

The bottled fuel included a sticky mixture of potassium chlorate, tar, and kerosene. The Finnish used wind-proof matches or chemicals set to ignite when the bottle broke to make ignition easier. This tactic is deplorably still in use to this day, especially in riots.
