The portable explosive – dynamite was invented around the 1860s by Swedish engineer and chemist Alfred Nobel and patented in 1867. Since then, it has been rapidly used on a large scale as an alternative to traditional black powder because it’s a lot more potent than most combustible materials.
This handy ballistite comes in solid forms and several shapes and often gets utilized in conflict, etc. However, its usage is not limited to only defensive activities. Dynamite also helps in quarrying, mining, and demolishing old structures for constructing new ones. Like most inventions, it can be both harmful and helpful – it depends on how one uses it.
