African Clawed Frog
The African clawed frog is found in the Eastern and Southern parts of Africa. Though it can survive in different habitats, from flowing streams to stagnant water, it is susceptible to water pollution. In other parts of the world, however, the frog is classified as an invasive species that causes harm to freshwater ecosystems.
Females are usually larger, weighing about three times more than males. And during the breeding season, the male makes a sharp clicking sound which the females can either accept or reject to signify their desire to mate. Finally, it has a life expectancy of eight to 15 years in the wild and 30 years in captivity.
