30 Secrets that the Royal Family didn’t want you to know

 Where’s Prince Philip’s Crown?

A woman who marries the king does become the queen consort. However, things don’t work like that vice versa. For instance, when Prince William, who is the second in line to the British throne becomes the king, his wife, Duchess Catherine, will become the queen consort.

But, Prince Philip, the queen’s husband, could not be called the king. This is because the title of a King represents male sovereignty and is passed on through male heirs. The title of the Queen is more symbolical. When a woman of the royal family marries, her husband can not be eligible for a male form of his bride’s title.
