Prince Charles Likes His Shoelaces Ironed
As a public figure and heir to the British throne, Prince Charles needs to look sharp from his head down to his shoes, especially his shoelaces. Butler Paul Burrell, who served his late ex-wife, Princess Diana, even revealed that the future king liked his shoelaces ironed among other grooming rituals.
From wanting his pajamas pressed every day and his bathwater just at a tepid temperature, Prince Charles’ habits allegedly earned him the nickname The Pampered Prince among staff. He also needed help fetching nearby things, at one point instructing Burell to retrieve a letter that fell into a waste bin.
