Someone We Didn’t Expect To See
In a place where rock stars and eccentric artists, the late comedian Robin Williams is probably the last person you expected to see. Proving once again how wholesome he is, here he is dancing silently with his first wife Valerie Velardi in the middle of the crowded dance floor.
Their love would outlast Studio 54 by years and a child, but would end in the ‘80s. Williams would go on to star in such family-friendly classics as Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, and Aladdin. While he blessed the world with laughter, his tragic death in 2014 saddened millions. His widow speculates that his suicide was prompted by his Lewy body dementia diagnosis.
