Village People Came To Impress
Studio 54 welcomed everybody so you bet the flamboyant disco group Village People would turn up at its doors. And when they did, they didn’t disappoint. The Macho Man and YMCA, both gay anthems, by the way, came in full costume. They might have even danced to their own songs at the nightclub.
And though the spot is no more, people still groove to their hits to this day. But what member Victor Willis doesn’t like is President Donald Trump used their songs during his campaign. He got the last laugh though as the Republican bet lost his bid for a second term and people celebrated it by blaring YMCA.
