She Lived The Carefree Disco Life
When Studio 54 opened in New York City, it came at an interesting time in America; disco music was at its peak and several movements advocating for women’s and gay rights were springing up. People who loved to dance and express their newly found personal freedom were eager for a place like the famous nightclub.
A good case in point is this woman wearing her best clubbing clothes. While her mother would’ve never gotten away with rocking the same revealing ensemble in her youth in the ‘50s, times were a-changin’ which meant that she could live her life as carefree as she wished.
