Dressing provocatively isn’t for Halloween isn’t a 21st-century invention. Studio 54 patrons have been wearing their skimpiest outfits for the spooky holiday since the ‘70s. Here’s a scene from Studio 54’s third annual All Hallow’s Eve bash to prove it.
Of course, there were also those who put on more effort into their costumes as opposed to going for a hot look and calling it a night. Look closer in this photo and you’ll see a man in what appears to be clown face paint getting down with the rest of the crowd.
