Drew Barrymore is renowned for her transformations. She famously left behind a troubled and drug-riddled youth to become one of the late 90s and early 2000s stars. One of these roles involved another transformation when she starred as Josie Gellar in the 1999 film Never Been Kissed.
In the films, she plays an adult journalist who decides to go back to high school for a story. She goes from her adult persona back into her ’80s high school persona. What’s amazing about the role is that Barrymore pulls off the ’80s mishap with a naturalness that she shouldn’t have, considering she spent most of her high school years in the ’90s.
