Speaking of petticoats, don’t you love how charming dresses used to be back in the day? Fashion buffs everywhere would love to take a look at Marion Carll’s little sewing atelier, where you can get a glimpse of how women used to dress.

To be fair, the steel petticoat and corseted bodice don’t make for the comfiest of clothes. But back in the day, fashion was less rooted in individualism and consumerism and more about dressing elegantly and respecting social norms. Either way, it mustn’t have been easy to be a lady in those bigoted days.
