You’ll Never Guess The Origin Of Some Of The Most Common Used Inventions

Belgium – BMI

Body mass index (BMI) is a way to assess body fat with measures of height and weight. The calculation gets done by dividing the weight by the square of the height. The invention that millions of females and males use worldwide is the work of Lambert Adolphe Quetelet, a Belgian mathematician.

By the metrics, a person whose BMI is under 18.5 is considered underweight, and the one whose BMI is over 29.9 is overweight. The in-between these numbers are regular. However, today as science evolves, new measurements and metrics are also being used for calculations.
