Wonders of the Modern World: Jaw-Dropping Infrastructures That Leave You in Awe

The Bhumibol Bridge

The Bhumibol Bridge, also known as the Industrial Ring Road Bridge, is a stunning structure in Bangkok, Thailand. It rises to a height of 164 feet from the ground due to its enormous cable ties. And the name of the bridge was given by a member of the royal family, as per historical records.

In 2009, King Bhumibol Adulyadej was named the honorary patron of the flyover. Only vehicles with four wheels are allowed on this road as a safety precaution, and motorcycles must be parked and switched to cars to cross it. The construction has helped alleviate traffic congestion, reducing travel time between the two sides of the city.
