It’s no secret that throwing a wedding can be expensive, with the average American nuptials costing an estimated $33,900. So, it’s no surprise that couples like finding ways to cut down on expenses. And it looks like newlyweds Jess Melara and Tony Sanchez did just that by foregoing the traditional cake in favor of something even better: pizza.
Their decision wasn’t exactly motivated by saving. It’s just that the couple love the cheesy Italian dish and wanted to surprise everyone with a four-tier pizza cake in lieu of real cake, which can cost as much as $1,000.
