Unconventional Models Who Will Make Your Jaw Drop

Halima Aden

Halima Aden rose to fame during the Miss Minnesota USA pageant, where she made it to the semi-finals. However, the thing about her was not her placement, but the fact that she wore a hijab, the first woman contestant ever to do so. This drew the attention of many agencies, and she was signed soon after, around 2016.

Aden debuted in Milan and walked several international runways while maintaining her style most of the time, which includes the hijab. She also became an ambassador to UNICEF, was on the cover of several different Vogue issues, and more. However, in 2020, Aden publically announced that she is quitting runway modeling due to her religious views.
