The Quiet Life of Some of the Greatest NFL Players
Carl Eller, 81, Minnesota Vikings
Carl Eller is perhaps one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history, having been a dominant force on the field and a leader both on and off the field. The five-time first-team All-Pro champion and six-time Pro Bowler’s college career was equally impressive, leading his Minnesota Golden Gophers to a Rose Bowl victory as a two-way player.
Eller served as the president of the NFL’s Retired Players Association, advocating for the rights of former players. In 2020, he became a member of Halberd Corporation, a medical research and treatment company, and continues to make a positive impact on the lives of retired sports personalities.
