The Quiet Life of Some of the Greatest NFL Players

Tom Mack, 79, Los Angeles Rams

Legendary professional footballer Tom Mack began his career at the University of Michigan and continued it with the Los Angeles Rams for 12 years. During his career, he was a four-time First-team All-Pro player and a Pro Bowler 11 times. He was known for his exemplary tackling and for playing as an offensive tackle or guard.

Mack retired from active playing in 1978 and went on to use his engineering degree as an engineer before becoming a lobbyist at Bechtel Group, Inc. In 1999, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an honor that was well-deserved for his achievements on the field.
