The Quiet Life of Some of the Greatest NFL Players

Bob Lilly, 83, Dallas Cowboys

Due to his incredible football playing skills and extraordinary performances on the field, Bob Lilly was rightly nicknamed “Mr. Cowboy.” He played as a defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys from 1961 to 1974 and earned first-team All-Pro honors seven times. His career was further highlighted by his Super Bowl win.

In addition to his numerous on-field successes, Lilly, who was also named to 11 Pro Bowls, initially went into beer distribution but changed his trade after witnessing a terrible drunk driving accident. He would operate a landscape photography art gallery before shifting to Texas to run Pro Imaging, his promotion firm.
