Kona Coffee Living History Farm — Hawaii

One of the quirkiest tourist attractions of Hawaii’s main island, the Kona Coffee Living History Farm is more than a must-visit site for coffee fans. If you want to know about the local culture, this living history museum is the place to be.

We’ve learned that this coffee farm was once owned by a Japanese immigrant named Daisaku Uchida, who employed many of the over-140,000 Japanese workers that traveled to Hawaii to get a job at the island’s sugarcane plantations. Kona Coffee’s history is rather exciting, and the farm has been a historic site since 1995. It’s the perfect place to stop by before visiting Mauna Kea.
