There’s more to Hawaii than just natural beauty. The island of Lanai has a rich cultural history, and the legendary Kaunolu Village is a must-visit if you’re into historical locations. Here, we’ve seen the ruins of a prehistoric fishing village that’s been abandoned since the 1880s.
Curiously enough, we were told that this was one of the favorite fishing sites of King Kamehameha I. In here, ancient warriors were ordered to dive from these cliffs to prove their courage. Well, we’re not going to do that! Instead, we’re chickening out and making our way back to the main island to visit yet another stunning natural park.
