According to Marie Claire UK and the queen’s official glovemaker, the accessory helps her finish off her outfits and protect her from contacting germs as she interacts with a lot of people.
Speaking of whom, Queen Elizabeth has been getting her supply of usually white gloves from the brand Cornelia James since the ‘40s. She’s later granted the business a royal warrant in the late ‘70s for their service.
