Lorna Laidlaw – Aggie Bailey, Coronation Street
The award-winning English actress Lorna Laidlaw knows exactly what it takes to give life to a soap opera character. Before joining Coronation Street in 2019 to portray the character of Aggie Bailey, she was known for playing Mrs Tembe in the TV series Doctors. She kept the role for a decade, working in the show between 2009 and 2019.
While Laidlaw is known for her talent to shine in front of the cameras, she also seems to have a knack for working on the other side of it. A little-known fact about Laidlaw is that she’s worked as a director, and she was in charge of six episodes of Doctors.
