A Queen Celebrates Her Birthday
Bianca Jagger wasn’t the only one who celebrated her birthday at Studio 54. Screen legend Elizabeth Taylor marked her 46th year on Earth with a soiree. Here she is during the event together with her friend Halston, whose designs she often wore in the ‘60s and ‘70s.
Sadly, both style icons have passed since this happy celebration took place. Halston went first in 1990 after a bout with a sickness related to AIDS. But Taylor, best known for her portrayal as the Egyptian queen Cleopatra, paid tribute to her confidant co-hosting the premiere of a documentary film about his life a year before her death in 2011.
