From the get-go, Lil Nas X has been going against the grain. His career kicked off after he was snubbed by the country music awards leading to a global rallying of fans in support. The young man even managed to get a remix featuring the legendary Billy Ray Cyrus himself.
Old Town Road ruled the Billboard charts for weeks, and it was during that high tide when Nas came out as gay in a social media post. The artist became the first one in history to do so while their song was at number one. Since then, Nas’ influence across the community has expanded exponentially.
