Julie Goodyear – Coronation Street
Born as Julie Kemp in 1942, Julie Goodyear debuted with the role of Bet Lynch on Coronation Street in 1966, but she left the show after nine episodes only to return in 1970 and continue playing the part for 25 years. For this show, the 78-year-old star was honored with the Special Recognition Award in the National Television Awards in 1995.
Goodyear participated in the reality show Celebrity Fit Club in 2005 and Come Dine With Me in 2010. She was last seen as a housemate on Celebrity Big Brother two years later. In November 2020, Julie donated her personal jewelry to save Willow Wood Hospice in the UK.
