Titanic’s Dry Dock in 1912 vs. 2015

This composite image may elicit strong emotions from onlookers because of what happened to the infamous ship called the Titanic. The humongous watercraft sank in 1912 after it hit an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean, killing over 1,500 passengers out of the 2,200 people aboard.

During the time, rival cruise companies were set on making ships that were profitable; hence the creation of this watercraft was thought to be unsinkable. Decades later, people all over the world learned of the tragedy after watching the 1997 disaster film “Titanic,” starring A-listers Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
