The story goes that Kate and William first laid eyes on each other at the University. But royal biographer Katie Nicholl insists on a different turn of events. Apparently, Kate had met him during her sixth form when some mutual friends staged an introduction.
But she wasn’t interested in boys then, so their meeting passed without fanfare until they met again at University. No sparks flew from the start, as Kate and William chose to get to know each other as friends. So a great friendship began instead, one that was easy to form as they each hung out in the same circle.
