Kate was the inspiration behind her parents’ million-dollar company, Party Pieces. Carole and Michael revealed that they got the idea to start the online retail company during Kate’s fifth birthday celebration. As a child, she also used to model for the company’s catalogs, appearing alongside her sister, Pippa, wearing branded t-shirts and holding up cupcakes.
However, she took on a more active role after University. We would later learn that Kate single-handedly launched the babies parties division of the company in 2008. A CNN report confirmed that Kate called the section “First Birthdays,” which focused on providing baby party supplies.
