Tom Hanks seems to have a penchant for biographical movies. And honestly, sometimes, the reality far surpasses whatever our imagination can come up with. This movie shows the struggle and success of pilot Chesley Sullenberger to save more than a hundred lives.
Sullenberger was piloting a US Airways Flight when both engines stopped working after hitting a flock of birds. This forced him to land at the Hudson River, with no casualties. Hanks and Sullenberger went to interviews together to promote the movie, which was based on Sullenberger’s autobiography, Highest Duty.
