Philip Seymour Hoffman started his career in theater, but soon transitioned into television and film, making a name for himself, thanks to his incredible talent. One of his most prominent roles was in the movie Capote, which went deep into the life of writer Truman Capote.
For the role, Philip had to lose a lot of weight. He also watched and read everything he could find on Capote. Philip opted for method acting and he would stay in character in between shoots trying not to lose the character. His efforts earned him an Academy Award. Philip died eight years after Capote due to a combination of a drugs overdose.
