We all know her as “Taystee” from Orange is the New Black, but before her breakout role, Danielle Brooks was a cheerleader. Although cheerleading was her first love, she eventually quit because of other people’s opinions of her wearing a skirt. Since then, she made it a personal goal to never let other people dictate her life.
Looking back at her high school photos, there is hardly any resemblance between Danielle, the cheerleader, and the Danielle we all know and love. The transformation is absolutely unbelievable! Her performance in her latest movie Robin Roberts Presents: Mahalia, is garnering Brooks praise and acclaim from all of her industry peers.
