Everyone knows Vanessa Hudgens from her role as Gabriella Montez in the classic Disney musical High School Musical and its sequels. But to break that mold and stop being typecast as a clean-cut teen, Hudgens took on some grittier roles to showcase her deeper acting talents.
One of those roles is Agnes Bailey, in the film Gimme Shelter. For the role, Hudgens transformed herself into a moody, emo, withdrawn teen dealing with abuse and having to fend for herself. The movie also starred James Earl Jones and Rosario Dawson. Hudgens is set to star in The Princess Switch: Switched Again, the sequel to the film The Princess Switch.
