Who’d have thought that Dave Bautista, who used to be a professional wrestler, bodybuilder, and mixed martial artist, would end up starring in Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers films? Well, he did have a career as an actor, and the role of Drax the Destroyer goes pretty well with his former work.
The character’s appearance was scarier than it sounds, especially considering 18 prosthetic pieces were glued to him before going into the details. According to Business Insider, it took five hours each for five makeup artists to finish the look. Now aged 51, Bautista is set to appear in the upcoming films: Dune and Groove Tails.
