Karen Gillan As Nebula
Starting from Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014, the Scottish actress Karen Gillan has portrayed Nebula in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films. The role is of a space pirate/mercenary (pictured above), and you could easily think that she’s wearing a well-designed helmet. However, that’s far from the case.
According to Looper, Gillan spends five hours getting her five-piece prosthetic face on, odds and ends airbrushed, and body painted in blue. According to Cheat Sheet, the 33-year-old even had to shave her head, and after all that, only made $140K from the film. She certainly deserved more! Nevertheless, she’s now winning more fans with Ruby Roundhouse’s role in the Jumanji films.
