There are movie roles where you just know what is required of it. Like when Siobhán McSweeney landed the role of the nun Sister Michael on the British TV show Derry Girls. This is despite the fact that she is a flamboyantly, stylish woman.
But she bucked up, dyed her bleach blonde hair brown, and vowed to not wear makeup on set. She did gain lots of popularity in the role for her troubles, and despite some other acting gigs, this is the character she is best known for. McSweeney is set to star in an independent film called Scrubber.
