Gwyneth Paltrow As Rosemary Shanahan
Gwyneth Paltrow also had to wear a fatsuit for a role. In the 2001 romantic comedy Shallow Hal, she stars as Rosemary Shanahan, an obese person that Jack Black’s character falls in love with. The twist is he magically sees Rosemary as the statuesque version of Paltrow.
Although the movie is a laugh-fest, its leading lady didn’t have a lot of fun shooting it as she stepped into the shoes of a larger woman and experienced what life is really like being bigger. The Academy Award-winning star never had to go through that again, though, as she notably lives a healthy lifestyle and even runs her own wellness brand, Goop.
