In 1995, a gorgeous Angelina Jolie impressed the viewers with her short-haired look in the thriller Hackers. But more than Jolie’s way-too-cool vibe, Hackers makes for an entertaining movie today due to its now comical portrayal of cybernetic attacks.
In the mid-’90s, computers were still a mysterious realm to many, but Hackers director Iain Softley seemed way too confident about their potential. In this ’90s flick, one cyber-attack scene shows the characters literally surfing the web via inexplicable 3D avatars, which is so laughably wrong! Nowadays, we’re at least excited about Jolie being a part of Marvel’s The Eternals, coming out in 2021.
