You’ll Never Guess The Origin Of Some Of The Most Common Used Inventions

Russia – Firefighting Foam

Although most inventions from Russia somehow tend to lean on the military side, Russian chemist and engineer Aleksandr Loran forever changed the world’s history in 1902 when he invented the firefighting foam. During this period, Loran worked in the gas and oil industry, trying to find a solution to combat petroleum-based fires because using water was ineffective.

Thanks to good brains, patience, and hard work, Aleksandr came up with a substance that would blanket and smother such infernos. The product cools the fire and coats the fuel, effectively blocking its contact with oxygen and suppressing any further combustion. Isn’t that genius?
