You’ll Never Guess The Origin Of Some Of The Most Common Used Inventions
Israel – Pill Cam
Gavriel Iddan revolutionized the way of treating intestinal and cancerous conditions when he himself had a colonoscopy. The discomfort was so severe, and Iddan tried envisioning a tiny camera that would be easy to swallow, showing images inside the intestines unable for the eye to see.
Thanks to the invention of the pill cam in 2001, medical professionals can now easily diagnose a patient who suffers from conditions like internal injuries, abnormalities in the underlying tissue, tumors, and absorption malfunctions. The small digital video camera captures around 5000 images on its route through the intestines, transmitting them wirelessly to a data recorder.
