You’ll Never Guess The Origin Of Some Of The Most Common Used Inventions

China – Paper

In search of finding a way to communicate in the written form, Cai Lun discovered one of the most used and treasured means of communication. His invention led to books, media, and even toys.

The first attempt at creating what we now call paper started around AD 105. Lun used pieces of tree bark, old rags, and fishing nets to create sheets by tightly parching them together, forming a platform that could serve as written communication. A little-known fact is that Cai tried keeping his technique a secret until the Japanese recreated the same inventive process later in the 6th century.
