A beetle painted in bubblegum pink is the last thing anyone looking to avoid detection should drive. So, when a thief decided to make away with this vehicle in 2013, they took a lot of risks. Somehow, they avoided detection and took the beetle for a short joyride.
Luckily for the owner, the police located the car by morning. The bad news was that the thief drove it into the Hillsborough river. A team of divers helped retrieve it after a while, and as you’d expect, the police department opened an investigation to apprehend those responsible for the crime. Unfortunately, the case seems to have gone cold.
