It’s long been considered lucky to touch a bride or get something of hers during the big day. In fact, young bachelorettes would even crowd around holding her, and some would even rip fragments of her wedding gown, believing they’ll have luck and get married soon after. These days though, this practice has been replaced by the bouquet toss.
