If there’s one thing that’s constant about New York City, it’s the eccentricity of its dwellers. Just look at these men who sported matching leather jackets and brown hats in a subway during the ’80s, when wild colors and bold styling became popular.
These men could be considered fashionable during the popularity of leathers. Supermodel Cindy Crawford wore a black crop leather jacket, pairing it with red lips and a mini skirt. Even singer Annie Lennox was pictured in 1987 donning a studded black leather jacket and red undergarment! Also, Thelma & Louise star Susan Sarandon rocked a red leather jacket for an event in 1989.
