In uniform or not, most employees had to take the subway to go to work. No matter how loud, messy, or dangerous the travel was, workers on a budget still chose the train over the expensive cab. Passengers were always at their feet, usually cautious about other people on board whenever they rode carriages. Just take a look at these gentlemen who seem to be on their way to the office.
Fortunately, lots of things have already changed in public transport, especially in New York. We’re glad to say that more people are now confident enough to ride the train and even interact with co-passengers without fear.
