Unflattering And Intense Nature Photos Guaranteed To Give You The Chills

Wild Relationship Goals: The Tarantula and The Frog

Nature can bring some of the craziest partnerships to life. Take the Colombian lesser black tarantulas and the little humming frogs, for example. These unlikely friends have formed a bond over their mutual love for each other’s eggs. The giant arachnids let the tiny frogs stick around because they gobble up the ants that try to attack the spider’s eggs.

These kinds of relationships are common in the animal world. Tarantulas are predatory spiders. They feed on insects, small mammals, birds, and other spiders, but some species may also consume reptiles and amphibians. If not that the frog had proven useful, it would have quickly become lunch.
