“Vengeance is Mine,” Says The Tiger

John Vaillant’s book “The Tiger” tells a true story of a vengeful, predatory cat. Covered in snow, this beast was on a mission for revenge in 1997 after Vladimir Markov, a Russian poacher, shot and wounded it before taking a part of the animal’s kill as food.

The injured tiger tracked Markov to his cabin, destroying everything that smelled of him. It then waited outside Markov’s door until he returned after waiting about 12 hours to two days. The Siberian tiger then attacked, dragging Markov into the bushes and devouring him. This is just one of many events that prove tigers hold grudges and are intentional about revenge.
