Lekeliene Stange was born in 1984 in the Netherlands. While she studied multimedia design, scouts noticed her in Rotterdam. Soon, Stange was signed by Marilyn Agency in the USA (New York City), and Women Management in Italy (Milan), and her career kicked off immediately.
She was recruited by the top names, like Marc Jacobs, Sonia Rykiel, Dolce & Gabbana, and others for various advertisements. She subsequently walked the runways for Chanel, Christian Dior, and the likes and was even opening shows. However, Stange became really famous when she kicked off her shoes during a runway walk for being too slippery after failed attempts to walk in them. This happened in 2007, during a Mark Jacobs Spring show.
