Not Bending The Rule
Many passengers would try their best to bring their pets with them, even in areas they aren’t allowed to. As a disclaimer, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority does allow pets on the train as long as they are carried or contained in a manner that won’t annoy other people.
Even though the agency’s rule on this is crystal clear, many pet owners try to bend the rule, such as this woman who cut holes in an IKEA bag to fit the pooch. In 2019, a guy carried his big dog in a sack, hoping to bring it aboard the train, but an MTA conductor turned him away.
