New York is where dreams are made, so it isn’t surprising to bump into people from different cultures in the subway. And although humanity has come far in accepting everyone equally, there’s still room for improvement. This photo, taken by another subway rider, went viral in 2017 and received tons of celebratory comments.
The person on the right is Gilda Wabbit, a well-known personality in the world of drag. The entertainer boasts more than 13,000 followers on Instagram. In juxtaposition, the woman on the left was wearing a niqab.
